Summary Of My Progress Through Week 12

Pumped this week to learn, practice and share.

I am excited that in two weeks in a row I have been out on two 10km runs.

Not very comfortable with the runs themselves so far but I am on track to meet my goal by end of May.

Getting back to being comfortable enough or able enough to be out there doing the 10km runs.

And the learning part is on Cypress.

I look forward to really getting into learning and sharing what I have managed to pick up:

Thereby getting instant feedback and having a knowledge base that could inspire others to re-skill or up-skill.

My personal growth journey is very much underway now with the first quarter nearly behind me.

Another exciting thing for me to look forward to this week is to start exposing our boys to a growth mindset way of life and making learning fun for them.

It would be awesome to get them also to do wee projects of their own.

Read or Listen

I started listening to Meditations By: Marcus Aurelius.

Normally when I listen to books I take down some notes.

This helps me remember a few life concepts which do not only resonate with me but probably with others.

If it’s down in a book others must also have experienced it right?

Well the writer for one, if based on a personal story.

As my personal story is connected to the written word, then chances are the situation will be the same for others.

I enjoy books written from the Individuals life experience and that advocate learning.

Me being aware — feeling, living, experiencing and then sharing is my approach to life.

Nothing wrong with dreams and visualisation of these.

I do that too but eighty percent of the time I live in the now.

From the little I have listened to so far, Marcus Aurelius lived consciously through his learnings and life experiences.

It is not an easy read but packed with lots of life’s lessons from the author.

Physical Activity

As I already mentioned, I am very happy with my running progress so far.

It did not start off great but slowly getting on target.

I feel really physically tired however when I do two 10km runs in a week.

So this week I decided to do just one 10km run and to monitor the impact different running loads are having on my body.

I must say the single 10km run per week is more comfortable with a week’s rest but it’s not about comfort.

There is a need for me to be out pushing through this discomfort so as I can indeed make my goal come the end of March 2022.

Meditation And Prayer

I continue to explore and learn from the Christian website ChristiansTT.

This site has 300+ prayers for every occasion.

Morning Prayers, Marriage Prayers, Prayers for Relationships, Prayers for Spiritual growth and much more.

So far I am in the morning prayers section.

These prayers go with some text on worship and praise of our Lord God.

I particularly liked this line ‘Guard your tongue and your heart. Be careful of your words.’

We have control over what we think and say.

Be open, honest and true but not hurtful in your words.

Financial Fitness

I have two sources I currently use for my financial literacy at the moment.

  • Jennifer Kempson aka MamaFurFur. She is a Scottish, award winning content creator, best-selling author and entrepreneur.
  • Darius Foroux. He is an entrepreneur, author, and investor.

They both share actionable tips you might use to enrich key areas of your life.

At the moment I follow Darius Foroux for his wealth building strategies.

And Jennifer Kempson: I use her learning resources to educate myself on my everyday financial habits.

I look forward to taking Darius’s free course on Wealth Strategies.

And I will be looking into getting Jennifer’s Budget Bundle.

Feedback on the above as I progress through my growth journey.

Conclusion

I am now beginning to enjoy my holistic learning and growth.

My growth journey is beginning to feel more like a lifestyle and less like an individual mix of daily habits.

I look forward to getting into full swing learning mode.

It is going to be awesome learning another web application automation tool.

I could compare and contrast Selenium and Cypress.

Many thanks for reading and Stay Blessed.

As always, if you are following along with your own personal growth plan, wishing you awesome progress in week 13.
