Summary Of My Progress Through Week 13

I continue to teach myself Cypress.

It is the End of May

First quarter of my personal growth journey is done.

Looking back it has been an enjoyable experience so far with learning, practice where possible, and sharing.

Best way for me to learn is to try to capture my understanding of a topic in some format and share for immediate feedback.

I have been doing just this while up-skilling within my professional domain and in sharing my thoughts with a few wee articles on here.

My physical activity weekly target took a blow this week.

I did not manage to get out on a run this week.

Gutted!! More on this below.

Read or Listen

Articles that gave me food for taught on medium this week;

I love the central theme of the article, ‘it could be good, it could be bad’.

Adopt this mind set and you take some of the pressures off yourself when things do not go to plan.

You will still go through the spectrum of emotions — which will differ with every situation — but hopefully not as intensely felt.

We all have unrealistic expectations when it comes to making a living online or offline.

This article tells you as it is.

Have awesome ideas, however, be realistic in how soon you can see any level of success.

This article is about Wealth Building.

It touches on some very important financial instruments such as Inflation, Interest Rates, deflation and much more.

Understanding these, plus other key financial concepts, is crucial to play and win in the financial wealth game.

Physical Activity

I had started enjoying good form in my running.

Two 10km runs did take a toll on my body so I decided to go for a single day a week and that would be a 10km run on Sundays.

I felt great last week when I did a single 10km run so thought I would do the same this week.

However, on Saturday night my back went for some reason.

I woke up with a very unstable back.

I could not bend and touch my toes and had pain when trying to do so.

So, running Sunday night was out.

Update on next week’s progress report.

Meditation And Prayer

The only change here, as you might have read last week, is we have a new source of content for use in Prayer and Meditation.

We continue to wake up and go to bed with Prayer and Meditation.

I am still looking into the idea of our boys coming on board and learning more around holistic growth and our faith being a major part of it.

Might get to see this in the weeks to come and probably on a different platform.

Financial Fitness

I signed up to and completed Darius Foroux free course on Wealth Strategies.

You get three videos delivered through your inbox over the course of three days.

He gets you to think out of the box when it comes to three key wealth building concepts; Value Creation, Saving and Assets.

I will stay subscribed to his newsletters to learn more around Wealth Creation Strategies.

Also, I did go ahead and bought MamaFurFur’s;

UK Budget Spreadsheet, achieve Financial Goals, Financial Freedom, Debt Repayment Edition — Excel Spreadsheet Digital Download only.

I have not crunched in my numbers yet but you will be the first to know once I do so.

My financial literacy journey continues.

Very exciting stuff.

Conclusion

Plenty of learning done this week around my professional and personal life.

I continue to learn another Test Automation Tool in Cypress.

Overall aim is to move toward opportunities within Test Automation in my professional capacity.

My journey through becoming financially literate is also in full swing as you will have read above.

I am also actively looking into learning how to best look after my body while working towards reaching my goal of running a full marathon come the end of March 2022.

As I have already mentioned, so far it has been a mostly enjoyable journey.

Learning, understanding, adapting and hopefully growth in personal value.

And as Darius Foroux will tell you, Increase your value to increase your earnings.

Use this value to serve others and you will get served in return.

First step in his Free Wealth Strategies Course.

Many Thanks and Stay Blessed.

As always, if you are following along with your own personal growth plan, wishing you awesome progress in week 14.
