Summary Of My Progress Through Week 5

This has been an awful week progress-wise.

All of us in my household have been down with the cold.

Feeling awful and encountering coding issues when trying to run my test automation test cases not ideal.

Both issues have thrown my progress and reporting off track.

However, we push on.

Not much progress around my code practice videos, blogs or physical activities.

I managed to feed my mind with a few reads and long walks to clear my head and try to keep focus reminding myself my personal growth journey is a marathon and not a sprint.

Meditation came in handy this week to keep me relaxed and less anxious.

I pray for and will work towards better progress next week.

Read or Listen

Not much reading done this week.

I was back on audible this week listening to;

Letting Go: The Pathway of Surrender By David R. Hawkins

In a very short sentence I would say the book is about “Mastering your emotions on a journey to inner peace and enlightenment”

It is worth a listen to for those who seek to understand their emotions

Physical Activity

This area of my growth plan remains in the RED.

For only this week it is probably understandable.

However, I still hold my goal of running a marathon at the end of my growth year March 2022.

To do this I should be back to comfortably running a 10km distance by the end of the first quarter of my growth year, which is end of May.

Meditation And Prayer

Not much change here.

Practiced meditation and prayer twice a day in short bursts.

I try to find a few minutes for some quiet time on my own every day just to reflect for a while on our direction in life, not just as an individual, but as a family.

Financial Fitness

I am still tracking and learning some financial tools and gaining knowledge.

Far from the point, however, of getting into investing yet.

I need to become debt-free then plan on how to start creating a nest egg with the purpose of using this money to work for us and provide security.

Conclusion

Our boys were off school for the whole week.

I took a couple of days off work as well because of how awful I was feeling.

Needless to say, as you have already read, very little progress this week on the professional learning side of things, including other areas.

I pray back to good health and a better mindset next week.

Lessons learned this week around adaptability, flexibility, and focus.

Many Thanks and Stay Blessed.

As always, if you are following along with your own personal growth plan, wishing you awesome progress in week 6.
