Getting back into running after a long layoff — RWLBP

I have had a long break from running.

A long break means no running in the last six weeks or more.

My layoff was due to lower abdominal muscles pain.

My guess of the root cause is twofold; pushing myself too hard and not fueling and hydrating properly.

I am hoping to get back into running fast.

However, when getting back into running you need to do so in a sensible manner.

If you are on medium or LinkedIn you might have come across an article o two about my running journey so far.

My first major challenge this year will be towards the last day of March 2022.

I plan to run a marathon distance by the end of March 2022.

How I am and will approach getting back into running

I already have my running challenges for 2021–2022.

It works out nicely as a training program to get back into running.

Starting with small distant runs

My first running challenge is to run one mile every day for five days.

I have decided to change this and run against the clock instead.
